- 1 1/4 lbs ground chicken
- 1 green cabbage (for wrappers)
- 1 tsp peanut butter
- 1 tsp sriracha sauce
- 1/2 tsp tamari soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp fresh cilantro
- 1 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 pinch + 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 lime
- 1/2 tsp Szechuan pepper
- 1/2 tsp pandan powder (optional)
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 red onion
- 1/2 scallion
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp sesame oil (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the cabbage wrappers by blanching whole leaves in boiling water for about 30 seconds; set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, peanut butter, sriracha sauce, tamari soy sauce, rice vinegar, cilantro, ginger garlic paste, salt, Szechuan pepper, cayenne pepper, chopped red onion, and scallion. Mix well.
- Place one tablespoon of the filling onto each cabbage leaf and fold to create sealed pouches.
- Cook the dumplings either by steaming them in a steamer basket for about 15 minutes or pan-frying them until golden brown before adding water to steam for another 5 minutes.
