  • 80 g chopped green or yellow pepper
  • 145 g chopped red pepper
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 cup canned crushed tomato
  • 1.5 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or more to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley for garnish
  • Sour cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Sauté chopped onion until golden brown (about 5 minutes).
  3. Add ground beef; cook until browned (5-7 minutes).
  4. Stir in chopped peppers and minced garlic; cook until fragrant.
  5. Combine crushed tomato, beef broth, water, salt, pepper, and spices; mix well.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered for 20 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust seasonings; cook uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  8. Stir in fresh parsley before serving.
