Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (or avocado oil)
- 1 pound sirloin steak (cut into thin strips)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 1 medium green bell pepper (cut into strips)
- ¼ cup onion (chopped)
- ½ cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari)
- 8 ounces mushrooms (sliced)
- Optional: 15 ounces baby corn
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add beef strips and minced garlic; cook until browned all over. Season with salt and pepper, then remove from the skillet.
- If needed, add more oil to the skillet, then sauté the green bell pepper strips and chopped onion until tender.
- Stir in beef broth, soy sauce, mushrooms, and optional xanthan gum/baby corn; mix well.
- Cook until mushrooms are softened, then return beef to the skillet and heat through.
