Ingredients
- 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the vanilla cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs; mix until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
- In another bowl, mix together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract; spread over the first layer of batter.
- Spoon the remaining batter on top of the cream cheese layer.
- In a separate bowl, whisk cocoa powder and milk until combined; drizzle over the top layer.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.
