- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
Instructions
- Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and sugar. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches 285°F and turns dark amber, about 35-45 minutes.
- Pour the hot mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips, allowing them to soften for 1-2 minutes before spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans on top and gently press them into the melted chocolate.
- Let the toffee cool at room temperature for about 1 hour until fully set.
- Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
