  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ranch dressing by whisking together mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, parsley, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Gradually add milk until desired consistency is reached. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal (if using), garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper for the coating. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
  3. Coat each mushroom slice by dipping it into the egg mixture followed by the flour mixture. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry mushrooms in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve warm with ranch dressing for dipping.
