Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup minced yellow onion
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb dried medium pasta
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 2.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Panko breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Add garlic and panko; toast until golden brown, then set aside.
- In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Pat chicken dry, add to pot, and sauté until no longer pink.
- Stir in onion, garlic, basil, oregano, and red pepper flakes; cook for another 3 minutes.
- Add pasta, marinara sauce, and water; stir well, cover, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and cook covered for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat; let it sit for 5 minutes before stirring in cheeses.
