- 1 lb flank steak (thinly sliced)
- 1 lb broccoli (cut into bite-sized pieces)

- 1/2 tablespoon ginger (minced)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing apple vinegar
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 1/2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing apple vinegar
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
Instructions
- Marinate the beef: In a bowl, mix sliced beef with baking soda, vinegar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, white pepper, water, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
- Prepare the stir-fry sauce: Whisk together oyster sauce, soy sauces, vinegar, sugar, chicken broth, and cornstarch in a small bowl.
- Blanch the broccoli: Boil in salted water for 1-2 minutes and drain.
- Cook the beef: Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Sear marinated beef until browned; remove from wok.
- Stir-fry: Add more oil to the wok; sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add broccoli and stir-fry for a minute before returning the beef with stir-fry sauce. Toss until coated.
- Serve: Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with green onions if desired.
